I'm back... and the corruption of today's art of sound!

I've not been blogging for a long time (can't even remember the last time I posted something, I'll check later), but it seems that after all this time, the art of sound today seems to lose its appeal to me. Those 'TOP 40 HITS' no longer entice me as it was.

(Look at me, I'm all red and creative.)

Please be reminded that this is a personal view, but take a look at Lady GaGa, for example. Yeah, it's undeniably true she is some rich, famous, successful & 'creative' celebrity, as compared to an average nobody like me, yet how can this 'noise' be considered 'ART'? I mean, am I the only one with this point of view? Hello?! Anyone?

But forget about it. I had enough complaining about the corruption that grips the art of sound today. Now that I've got it out of my chest, I'm rather relieved. Anyway, I've rarely tune in to the radio nowadays. I've decided to go instrumental cos' sometimes lyrics can be misleading.

The lovely, Ms. Alyssa Bonagura

I absolutely love this girl. What an amazing talent she possess. Too bad, not many people know the girl from Franklin, Tennessee. You can check her out on her myspace. I'd recommend "Where do I go Liverpool". Trust me. She does everything herself:- promotion, songwriting, artwork, etc. She has my absolute respect.

S Club 7 never says goodbye............

I was browsing 'round YouTube today and I stumbled upon this. Tears came running down my cheeks(Metaphorically speaking), I just couldn't hold off my emotions. If you're wondering what the hell am I talking, take a look:

I'd just love this song too much I just ...... I don't know why has this sadness overwhelm me???

'Ordinary world': Most cover-worthy song.....

Whenever someone mention 'Ordinary world', the first thing that came to my mind is Duran Duran. Everytime I listen to the song, I'd always imagined different ways of how the song is presented. Here are some of the examples:-

I'm sure that there are some people out there who stick to the original version. I'd understand that. But, hey! Times are changing. Nothing lasts forever. Well, at least they did a good job immortalizing the song in their own way.

For those of you who really want the original version, I found one right here. But this is NOT the official video. Just a typical YouTube video.

Also, I've managed to find the acoustic version of the song. Well, the video is nice. I liked it......

Senandung maaf..........

Aahhhh...... Whenever I listen to this song, an air of joy came running across my face. After all, who would've expect these dudes and dudettes to take the world by storm? It's the kind of music that makes you click the 'replay' button over and over again.

Whoever came up with the name 'White Shoes & the Couples Company' is a genius, cos' I find that the name sings. Let's say it one more time:

"WHITE SHOES & THE COUPLES COMPANY"

I personally like the bassist and the frontwoman. He's good with the craft and as for the girl, she's cute. I think I'm in LOVE!!!!

Anyway, bands like these really live up to the meaning 'Old school never die'.
